Diabetes in Texas

Over the course of the last decade, the prevalence of diabetes has been steadily climbing, both in the state of Texas and nationally. Diabetes affected an estimated 2,323,220 adults in the state of Texas in 2017, which corresponds to 11.4% of the state's total adult population. In addition, around 23.8 % of persons who actually had diabetes were unaware that they had the condition.
